Teriyaki Salmon
Lettuce Wraps

crisp Lettuce and fresh pacific salmon with a sweet homemade teriyaki sauce..

 

Makes: 8 lettuce wraps

Prep Time: 15 minutes

Cook Time: 20 minutes

Total Time: 35 minutes

 

Ingredients:

 

Sauce:

1/4 cup Soy Sauce

1 cup Water

1/2 tsp. Ground Ginger

1/4 tsp. Garlic Powder

5 tbsp. Brown Sugar

1 tbsp. Honey

2 tbsp. Cornstarch

1/4 cup Cold Water

 

Salmon Wraps:

1 lb Fresh Pacific Salmon

2 tbsp. Homemade Teriyaki Sauce

16 leaves of Red or Green Batavia

2 chopped Green Onions

1 tbsp. Sesame Seeds

Directions:

 

Sauce:

  1. Mix cornstarch and cold water in a cup and set aside.
  2. Combine remaining ingredients in a small pan and gently bring to a simmer.
  3. Once simmering slowly add cornstarch and cold water mixture until sauce thickens.
  4. Remove from heat.

 

Salmon Wraps

  1. Portion Salmon into 4 equal pieces.
  2. Place Salmon and Homemade Teriyaki Sauce in a bowl, evenly cover and place in refrigerator for 20 minutes to marinade.
  3. Preheat oven to 400°F.
  4. Arrange marinated Salmon on a non stick baking sheet and bake for 12-15 minutes until salmon is light pink and flaky to the touch.
  5. Remove from the oven drizzle with extra Teriyaki Sauce if desired.
  6. Arrange two lettuce leaves per wrap and add half a portion of cooked Salmon to each leaf.
  7. Top with Sesame Seeds, chopped Green Onion and serve.
